A Little Bit About Us
Our mission at St. Joseph Catholic School is to deliver an academically excellent Catholic education that develops the whole person and inspires a Christ-centered life in a global community.
We do that by creating a nurturing environment that supports not only our students and staff, but also our community. Our hope for each student is that they will:
- Realize their God-given gifts and use them to bless the world around them.
- Reach their full potential, not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, and physically.
- Develop their life-long personal relationship with Christ, and use that relationship to guide all of their decisions.
What is different at St. Joseph Catholic School?
We know each person is created in God’s image and we treat them like the miracles that are, with love, compassion, and kindness.
Serving others honors what we’ve been taught in the Gospels by following Jesus’ example of serving those around Him.
Whether it’s with our time, talents, or treasures, we believe that all we have is from God, and it’s our responsibility to share those gifts with others. Our students truly learn that it is greater to give than to receive.
Our Patron Saint
St. Joseph
Saint Joseph was the earthly father of our savior, Jesus Christ. Pope Pius IX proclaimed Saint Joseph the patron of the Universal Church in 1870. Having died in the “arms of Jesus and Mary,” he is the model of the pious believer.
St. Matthew described him as an “upright man,” in the Bible, who served God quietly and without question. When he learned of Mary’s pregnancy, he followed the angel’s commands and did so without complaint or hesitation.
Here at St. Joseph Catholic school, we hope to instill in all our students that servitude to our heavenly father even when we’re not sure of the outcome or the possibility of what He is requesting. We desire to learn, like St. Joseph did, of God’s faithfulness when we obey.
